Final Hay Que Hablar meeting of the semester- this was a very extensive meeting to plan for because the topic was Baila Conmigo- we taught a few of the most popular dances in latinoamerica, and also served tacos & horchata from taqueria ramirez
Hay Que Hablar reunion- talked about el Dia de La Accion de Gracias- including the Latino versions!
Cardinal Elementary with SHPE- did activity with jello, toothpicks and marshallows. built a stable structure and then shook it up to imitate an "earthquake" and taught them about different magnitudes of earthquakes.
Hay Que Hablar - 1 hour for planning, 1 hour for meeting. discussion was based on current political events happening in Chile and the situation in Sinaloa with the release of Ovidio Guzman, El Chapo's son
We made mini oceans with a pan filled with water, and poured oil in them to mimic an oil spill. Then we tested the effectiveness of certain oil removal methods, like sopping it up with a paper towel or using Dawn Dish soap.
Leading Latinas- 1 hour meeting with Lead Mentors ( I am the Marketing Lead Mentor), and 1.5 hour meeting with the girls at Tates Creek High School
We taught them how to and made slime with the kids!
