A. The mission of the UK Center for Community Outreach (UK CCO) is to serve, connect, and unite the University of Kentucky with the surrounding community in collaborative efforts to promote life-long community service.
B. Founded in August 2002, the UK CCO is a student-driven organization that is intended to foster the development of leaders who make a difference in their communities. Through a team of student volunteers and professional staff, programs and services are offered that will afford University of Kentucky students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to use their time and talents to serve others. The UK CCO was formed as the Student Volunteer Center (SVC) at the University of Kentucky in 2001.
