We helped the staff with their lesson about violence prevention and got to interact with the children at the shelter. This allowed us to gather more ideas for our final project.

After our meeting with our faculty and community partners, we volunteered to assist with the science fair going on that night. We helped with setting some things up and talked to some of the workers at the community center to see what areas we could target for our project.

A few of us went to the community center and with the help of our community partner, planned for upcoming events we could possibly be a part of. We did this by observing some of their evening activities and talking to many of the people at the facility. Additionally, we helped them set up for the woman's book club meeting that night.
