I’m very glad I got a chance to put up signs and flags around the grand opening of the Bike shop. We packed the main coordinators car with snacks and drinks that will be given at the event that’s going on all day. As someone who bikes to campus often, it’s nice to know it’s going to be a student space. The coordinators were very nice and so were the other volunteers.
I assisted the Lions Sight Research Foundation (partnered with UTHSCSA) with providing eye screening services to the communities of South Texas. I checked for nearsighted vision, farsighted vision, and eye pressure. I also assisted in employing a unique screening protocol aimed at the identification of individuals with glaucoma or with vision markers suggesting that they may develop glaucoma.
I had a great experience helping children with their homework, doing other activities, and interacting with them by playing outside.
I assisted the Lions Sight Research Foundation (partnered with UTHSCSA) with providing eye screening services to the communities of South Texas at the H-E-B Feast of Sharing. I helped set up and measure blood pressure & pulse before people were screened. I checked for nearsighted vision, farsighted vision, and eye pressure. I also assisted in employing a unique screening protocol aimed at the identification of individuals with glaucoma or with vision markers suggesting that they may develop glaucoma.
