Operation Comfort September 24, 2017, Rockport, Tx
We started the day by going back to North Padre Watch to see what else they needed help with, they needed people to deliver the goods to those in need. We picked up what the families had asked for and we got the address and went to their home. One of the homes was a single mom with a disabled father and two children. We delivered the goods to her and realized she was still working on cleaning up her home and yard, so we helped get rid of all of the debris and helped her cover and tie down her shed, we also helped clean out the rest of the stuff in the house that she needed removed and the rest of the insulation. There was a cold food delivery truck in the middle of Rockport and many people didn't know this or didn't have a way of getting to it so we took her there and she picked out food for her family and two others that we could deliver to. Once we had helped her, we were given an address for a church, they needed all the supplies they could get. We filled four vehicles full of goods and nonperishable foods and delivered it to the church.

Operation Comfort September 23, 2017, Corpus Christi and Rockport, Tx
We drove down to Corpus early Saturday morning to go to North Padre Watch which a few of the locals had set up to take donations of nonperishables and almost anything you could think of from diapers to toothbrushes and toothpaste to cloths and shampoo, and tons of cleaning supplies and toilet paper. We helped them organize the warehouse a little before we started getting shipments of donated goods. Once the goods arrived we helped bring everything inside and organize it, we did this for three eighteen wheeler shipments of donated goods. Once we had finished this we were given a few addresses to go to and help them clean all of the debris from the front and back yards. One of the homes we had gone to was the home of a marines family, their really large and old seder tree had been uprooted and they were keeping it from falling on the neighbors, we helped get all of the tree pieces out of the way as they were cut from the tree.

Operation Comfort September 9, 2017, La Grange, Tx
We went to La Grange Saturday morning with Operation Comfort to help the families who had been affected by the Colorado River flooding. We ended up helping an older couple move everything out of her home, clean and rinse everything that was washable, and gutted the inside of her home. We tore down the plaster and dry wood out of the walls as well as the insulation and we pulled the nails and shiplap off the walls as well. We pulled up the flooring and pulled down all the cabinets. We then took everything outside to be picked up by the tractors.
