Got to organize the philanthropic project for the Arkansas Student Nursing Association where we provided swabs for donors to DNA test themselves in order to be in the system for donors for any plasma or blood products needed for patients in need within the state of Arkansas.

I am lucky enough as Phi Mu's Philanthropy Chair to get to host events in support of our local Children's Hospital. One of our big Philanthropy events this semester was a drive-thru lunch called Eat-Mu-Chicken where cars would drive up behind our house and donate $5 to children's hospital in return for a box of chicken fingers, fries, and a cookie. The event ended up raising $2,330 total all of which will be going to Children's Hospital.
As the philanthropy chair for Phi Mu at the University of Arkansas I wanted to take the opportunity to have my chapter make hand made masks for our local children's hospital since they were in need of child sized masks. I organized the event as well as bought all materials and delivered them to the hospital. I am so bless to be apart of a chapter where I can use my creativity to help our local children's hospital.
I am so honored I got to lead such an amazing project like this. Phi Mu at the University of Arkansas created 500 surgery snack bags for the local CHildren's Hospital in Springdale. Each bag included 3-5 snack, a water bottle, and a handwritten note from our members. I was the one who organized this event, bought all the supplies, and the took the bags to the hospital for the donation.
Loved being able to table in support of Milkshakes for Miracles, an event put on by Phi Mu in support of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Throughout the week we were able to raise $250+ just from our tabling efforts alone!
Loved being able to take the time to create a craft for the kids at CMN Hospitals. They will be able to use these crafts on their craft cart and hopefully will last them for several weeks!
Loved being able to donate to the new phis so they can have the best Phi Mu experience possible!
The hospital was so excited to receive our donation and asked if we would please make another craft project for the kids before this semester ends!
Loved being able to come up with this idea as a fun project for the kids at Children's to be able to then complete on their own! Will definitely be doing another one soon!
Loved being able to join my sisters to walk in an event that means so much to our community. Always happy to show my support!
