Everyone was there because they wanted to be, not because they had to be. I really enjoyed that aspect of it. It gave off an environment that made you want to stay.
Had an amazing time helping the kids with homework, reading to them, and playing board games since the weather was too bad to go outside.
When I arrived, I could't sign in from the front desk because it was supposed to be done online before we got there.
They still let me volunteer though in the clothes closet sorting from bags and bins to categorized bins. I also broke up boxes and recycled them in the back where they were meant to be put.
