    Oct 2016 work day

I was so excited to attend the service day the the community garden because I got to work with the compost, and learn more about how to take care of it, how to water it and what kind of materials are included to make a good compost. Besides working with the compost, I also helped moving away the old tree branches into a pile far from the garden. Overall I enjoyed being there and learning new stuff, like working with the compost.

    2016 Urban orchard watering

Was a really good experience, in which I involved myself in multiple tasks that I usually don't. I liked to help our community and most of all our environment.

My experience at the Gardens at Gus Garcia Community Garden was great.! I had a great time, and enjoyed being there, helping out, a lot.
Taking out grass and cleaning the garden was therapeutic and helped me release all of the stress that I had from the past days. I had done community service before, but I had never felt so fulfilled like I did on Saturday, and i'm really looking forward to keep working on cleaning the gardens and helping out our community.
