Event Description

We are a group of friends that make a meal and bring emergency needs to a park known for having a lot of people experiencing homelessness (Freimann Square). We serve at the same time every two weeks (Every other Tuesday 7pm). The goal is to meet the direct emergency needs of the street homeless. Regardless of their lifestyle everyone deserves a meal, a friend, warm clothes and their rights to be respected without being asked for something in return.

Volunteers are welcome to get involved as much as they feel comfortable doing so. You're welcome to help serve the meal or just come to be good company and talk with the people we serve. If you would like to help provide food, shoot us an email or FB message. We are open to any ideas our volunteers have about donation drives and community partnerships.

A few "rules": No identifiable photos of people's faces -Some people do not want their family/friends to know they are experiencing homelessness Give respect, always Ask for nothing in return

**COVID Update*
Currently, we serve a quick togo meal out of our cars. You most likely will be putting the meals in bags and handing them out. Since COVID the number of volunteers has changed from 10 to at most four. Also, the number of people we serve has drastically changed. It may not feel like you're doing much but your help is appreciated and it's a good experience, especially if you interact with the friends we serve.

Reach out to me about adding a volunteer position for you if the date you need is full
