AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program that works to eliminate poverty. VISTAs develop initiatives that enable people to become self-sufficient and secure. AmeriCorps VISTA is a program of CNCS, the federal agency that improves lives, strengthens communities, and fosters civic engagement through service and volunteering.
The Brown University AmeriCorps VISTA Fellowship is a full-time, post-graduate service and fellowship opportunity through the Swearer Center for Public Service. The Swearer Center works to create a community of scholars, students, practitioners, and community members that work together to build on community strengths and address community challenges. We are committed to change in our community by developing high impact, sustainable, and reciprocal community partnerships. VISTA Fellows are matched with a local organization, state agency, or a Swearer Center department to build capacity in organizations fighting poverty.
