Farmworker Health Outreach - Piedmont Health Services

About

Our Mission is to improve the health and well being of the community by providing high quality, affordable, and comprehensive primary health care.

The Piedmont Health Farmworker Health Outreach Program works diligently to serve ~ 1400 seasonal, migrant, and retired farmworkers through 13 counties in central North Carolina. Historically noted as "Tobacco Road," the Piedmont region is home to a ever-present tobacco industry that has remained the top cash crop in North Carolina. If not harvesting tobacco, the farmworkers that we serve toil at blueberries, strawberries, sweet potatoes, douglas fir pines, flowers, and more. The farmworker counties that we serve include but are not limited to: Moore, Lee, Harnett, Montgomery, Randolph, Chatham, Caswell, Person, Orange, Durham, Alamance, Rockingham, and Guilford.
