Social services agency founded in 1969 and affiliated with RI Catholic Charities that works to alleviate poverty and homelessness and promote community development in the Blackstone Valley. Among other services and activities, Project Hope administers a homeless shelter, delivers emergency funds for basic necessities such as food, utilities and rent, offers assistance to new and expectant mothers, and sponsors free income tax preparation for income-qualified individuals and families. All of its services are provided on a non-sectarian basis.
