21st Annual Cheers for Children

Saturday, March 7th, 2020 from 1:00pm to 11:30pm

About

The Northwest Austin Circle of Friends is proud to be celebrating our 21st Annual Cheers for Children, raising funds and awareness for Dell Children’s Medical Center and the Texas Child Study Center. Since 2008, all net funds raised from the Cheers event have benefited The Texas Child Study Center (TCSC) Endowment. The TCSC is a collaboration between the University of Texas at Austin Educational Psychology Department and Dell Children’s Medical Center. It was established in 2008 through philanthropic support to help meet the mental health needs of the youth of Central Texas. The TCSC has grown to include a residency training program for future pediatric psychologists and psychiatrists, embedded clinics within all of the major programs at Dell Children’s including the Blood and Cancer Center, Emergency Department, the Obesity Program, and Intensive Care.

Please join us in support of our anniversary and celebration of the 21st annual Cheers for Children Wine, Bourbon and Food Tasting event on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Junior League of Austin Community Impact Center. This event lets guests taste fine wines, select bourbons, delicious cuisine from local restaurants and great music.

For volunteers, we need help with various activities of the event, including set-up, clean-up, assistance with the silent auction and food vendors, and registration assistance, as well as serving guests for our volunteers who are 21 or older or who have TABC certification. If you are interested in becoming TABC certified for this event, Northwest Austin Circle of Friends will reimburse our volunteers with proof of registration and completion of the online course. There will be 3 shift options for volunteers, including the Set-Up shift from 12-3pm, the Event shift from 6:30-10pm, and the Clean-Up shift from 8:30-11:30pm.

Choose a shift, or work more if you would like. We greatly appreciate your help in any way! We are also able to sign off for any community service requirements or accommodate for volunteer hours for clubs and honor societies. For more information, contact the admin of this event.
