I really enjoyed being able to interact with customers and open up the idea to donate to the food bank. Some of the people were very polite and nice to talk to. Also, getting to meet fellow Seton Hill students was a cool experience as well
I would give this experience a 4. I attended the food share collection yesterday as well. This time I only did it for 1 hour and I had no one else with me so that was a challenge. But when I went to go pick up the pamphlets the workers were really nice to me, and I already knew what to do.
I would give this experience a 4. While the actual service part was nice, there was no one to really help the group facilitate the activities. The students in the earlier shift told us that a guy came by and told them what to do, and then left. And we weren’t entirely sure what to do when the shift was over either. The description of the task was very vague and I was also sent two different emails of two different Giant Eagle locations, so that was very confusing to me. But besides that it was a great experience and would do it again.
