The Village Link ("TVL") is a 501(c)3 organization with a mission to build capacity and achieve long-term economic sustainability in rural underserved communities, in Sierra Leone, surviving on less than $1.90 a day. Our hybrid model aims to achieve this mission through education and vocational/entrepreneurial training programs, powered by solar and innovative technology. TVL launched the country's first all girls coding course in a rural village, installed internet in one of our rural centers, providing 15+ villages with outside communication access; teachers with high quality educational resources and partnered with Sierra Leone's top tech companies to train and build the country's first rural digital workforce, creating new job opportunities.

As an International Development Program Coordinator you will support the directors on multiple projects and with TVL's core programs: Early Childhood Education & Digital Literacy. This is a unique opportunity to work with a growing grassroots organization that is disrupting the cycle of poverty in an innovative way. Areas we are looking for support in include but are not limited to:
  • financial analysis;
  • data analytics;
  • marketing (social media, newsletters and web updates);
  • program reporting;
  • researching new online resources for digital literacy;
  • partnership liaison;
  • grant research;
  • fundraising support; and
  • other projects as directed.

We are looking for someone with a global mindset that thinks all people are equal regardless of any social, economic or biological factor. You must have an interest in international development and business. Ideal interest and skills include but are not limited to:
  • Graduate Program in Development PHD students; OR 
  • Minimum of 2 years of undergrad with a major in business; international relations; international development or similar;
  • Excellent written communication skills;
  • Proficient in MS office;
  • Experience working with Google products (nice to have);
  • Experience working with Square Space (nice to have);
  • Experience building presentations;
  • Familiar with grant writing (nice to have);
  • Willingness to work with employees and partners abroad across multiple timezones; and
  • Experience using social media.
