About

The Memphis Tilth Garden Internship is a seasonal internship where interns will work in all aspects of urban regenerative agriculture.  We will be hiring 2 Interns for the growing season April-October (subject to change).  Interns will be working in the day-to-day operations of St. Paul and St. James Urban Gardens. Objectives of the internship are for interns to learn and become confident in growing food for themselves or others.  This internship could be used as a career training opportunity for aspiring farmers.  Interns are expected to be able to work in all weather conditions and should be able to lift 50 lbs with ease.  The objective of the internship is for interns to become knowledgeable in all aspects of organic and regenerative agriculture through a work learning experience.  The internship is also designed to help Memphis Tilth achieve its mission of cultivating collective action for an economically sustainable, socially equitable, and environmentally sound local food system.  The goals of St. James and St. Paul Urban Gardens, where interns will be working closely with the Garden Coordinator, are to grow as much food as possible for the Bring It Food Hub and for Memphis Tilth's pop-up Farmers Markets.
Interns will work five days a week, four hours a day for a total of 15-20 hours a week.  (Subject to change)
This is an unpaid Internship, but interns will be able to bring home extra and "ugly" produce.
