This volunteer opportunity is to perform general maintenance of the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute (PCEI) Nature Center. Volunteers will assist the PCEI staff and AmeriCorps members with seasonal projects such as spreading wood chips throughout the trails of the Nature Center, weed removal, nursery upkeep, leaf raking, snow shoveling, hole digging, and trash pick up.

This volunteer opportunity is suitable for individuals or groups and is an excellent opportunity for families with young children to volunteer together. Individual groups will volunteer separately and will not be expected to work with others.
Closed toe shoes and long sleeves are recommended in addition to bringing plenty of water. Please check the weather prior to volunteering and bring appropriate supplies (sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat, jacket, gloves, etc.)

Please bring a mask to wear during interactions with PCEI personnel and be prepared to observe CDC guidelines in response to COVID-19 including maintaining a minimum of 6' distance from those not in your group
