About

If you are looking for an opportunity to fulfill PEG 2 , you should consider Mentoring And Nurturing Our Students (MANOS.) This volunteer-based program has partnered with Erwin High School for nearly ten years to work with Latinx youth. This semester we are offering a completely virtual program. The students we work with are newcomers to the United States, most from Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador, or first generation students who grew up in the US, but whose parents immigrated here.

We encourage college as a possibility for these youth by creating a positive environment and cultivating a culture of academic achievement for Erwin students. By becoming a volunteer with MANOS, you will have the opportunity to be a resource for students around college and academics. Details are listed below:

1. This opportunity is completely REMOTE this semester
2. Warren Wilson students collaborate with High school students in problem solving, finding and utilizing online academic resources, and completing homework assignments.
3. Volunteers with proficiency communicating in the Spanish language are encouraged but NOT required.
