Unloading food items and stocking shelves; Moving items from freezer and refrigerator; Stocking items on shelves; Opening boxes; Breaking down cardboard; Washing, sorting and stocking produce; Filling food orders for clients; Preparing carts; Weighing and logging out-going food; Checking items available to clients and restocking; Returning carts to warehouse from cart corral; May include receiving donations from donors; weighing and logging incoming food; Sorting and checking incoming food; May include cleaning duties and taking cardboard and trash out to dumpsters.
Reading and writing at a third-grade level or better; Walking and pushing a cart; Using addition and subtraction; May include assisting clients with their shopping carts.
Volunteers are required to sign up for the days they intend to serve on a weekly basis and call to let us know if they are not coming on a scheduled day as soon as they are able. All volunteers are subject to a criminal background check.
Volunteers are expected to wear a mask at all times while on the campus and to sign a statement that they are following current CDC guidelines for the pandemic. Temperature will be taken.
