About

The Dougherty Arts Center is seeking creative individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in marketing, social media, graphic design or arts administration to join the team as a Marketing Intern for the spring 2021 semester.
The Marketing Intern will be active in the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing campaigns for the Dougherty Arts Center’s Digital event series, Art A La Carte.
Interns will gain valuable experience creating 4 broad scale marketing campaigns for the Dougherty Arts Center, a well-known community arts organization. Their important work will help widen accessibility to the Dougherty Arts Center’s programs to underrepresented communities in the Austin area. At the end of the semester, Interns will leave with a well-rounded portfolio of experiences and work.
Requirements:
  •  Applicants must currently be enrolled in a college degree program.
  •  Applicants should have some knowledge of, or experience in the arts (performing, visual, etc).
  • Applicants must be able to commit to at least 5 hours a week from January 18 to May 14, 2021.
  •  Applicants should have experience in marketing, social media, community organizing, or other related subject matters.
  • Applicants must have access to reliable internet and a computer/laptop.
This is a volunteer position that will take place completely online. Participants will be able to complete their work remotely. Once selected, DAC staff will work with the intern to develop a flexible schedule that accommodates their other work/life responsibilities.
