Volunteers Needed!

VITA is currently recruiting volunteers for the upcoming tax season. We will provide free tax training which will be held via Zoom. Volunteer a minimum of 8 hours a month for the tax season at 1 of our 10 VITA sites. All VITA locations will be drop off sites, meaning there will be no interaction with the clients.

Basic Level Tax Training

Option 1: Jan. 23rd & 30th (8:00am-5:00pm) 2 Saturdays

Option 2: Feb. 6th & 13th (8:00am-5:00pm) 2 Saturdays

Option 3: Jan.11th -14th (5:30pm-9:30pm) Monday-Thursday

Option 4: Jan. 25th -28th (5:30pm-9:30pm) Monday-Thursday

Advance Level Tax Training

Option 1: Jan. 23rd & 30th (8:00am-5:00pm) 2 Saturdays

Option 2: Feb. 6th & 13th (8:00am-5:00pm) 2 Saturdays

Requirement Details

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:

Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
