Community Organizer for Education Empowerment Day

Open Opportunity

About

Education Empowerment Day would serve as our first community outreach for students of Richmond High School that are starting to plan their future after high school. This conference will serve students from 9th grade all the way to 12th grade. Each workshop has been designed to cover the basics about that topic and have students thinking of the next steps. We hope to help students create their own pathways into exploring the idea of higher education or other options that would serve their interest. This will be facilitated by community members from inside Earlham such as faculty and students as well as outside community members. Each workshop serves a purpose which is to inform as well as to build the foundation of college and after high school prep. We aim to make these conferences a recurring event that will allow us to keep track and help students through their whole highschool and be able to build a follow-up/mentorship relationship.
