CAPUP is looking for self-driven, caring, and hardworking individuals who are committed to making a difference in the community.
What will I be doing?
CAPUP is searching for volunteers to work the Food Pantry and the Food Buying Club (which is once a month). Other positions available are computer entry positions, front desk positions, helping with the senior program, and we are in need of Change Agents.
We provide a variety of resources and services for the seniors. This includes nutritional assistance, health screenings, field trips, events and activities. As well as classes and education in art and crafts, drama, health, nutrition, budget management, and exercise.
The Change Agents will be responsible for shredding, organizing, and other duties to make sure CAPUP looks its best to perform at its best.
Our volunteers' value being punctual, honest, and have strong organizational skills and a willingness to help different areas of the agency as well.
-18 and older
-Ability to work 2-3 hours during the week from 9:00 am-3:00 pm (flexible hours)
-Must be able to complete the volunteer application process
-Ability to provide a copy of driving record (only if deemed necessary)
-Ability to lift heavy objects (varies)
-General math, reading, and writing skills
Other preferred qualifications (not mandatory)
-High school diploma or more
-Experience working with diversity
-Fair driving record or driver's license (be able to provide own transportation)
